Dolly Wanda Shealy

Wanda was the daughter of the late Lonie “Pete” and Marie Koon Shealy. She was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Little Mountain where she taught Sunday school, weekday church school and Bible school.

Wanda loved helping her husband on their farm. They raised cattle, hogs and chickens. They also had a large garden every year. Wanda enjoyed canning her homegrown vegetables. She also loved to cook, bake, sew and crochet. Wanda loved fishing in their ponds and having family and friends over for fish fries. She loved and adored her grandsons and great granddaughter.

Wanda was always a very positive person who had a great wit and was a delight to be around. Everyone she met she addressed as “Darling”. Wanda and Robert spent many weekends traveling with their Shriner friends.

Wanda is survived by her daughter, Alice Shealy (Kathleen White) of Chapin; grandsons, Bryan Shealy and Brandon (Jessica) Shealy; great granddaughter, Gracyn Shealy and daughter-in-law, Kay Shealy. She is also survived by her loving niece, Jackie S. Riddle who loved her as a mother. Wanda is survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Wanda was predeceased by her husband, Robert and a son, Dan. She was also predeceased by her siblings, Rachel Counts, Jack Shealy, twin brother, Bob Shealy and Betty Page.

The family wishes to thank Wanda’s friends and family for their kindness, prayers and calls during her illness.

A special thanks to the caring, loving staff at Generations of Chapin and a special thanks to Medical Services of America Hospice for their awesome care and love.

A graveside service will be held at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Little Mountain, SC at 3:00 pm on Friday, September 24, 2021. The family will receive family and friends at the graveside after the service. Everyone is reminded to socially distance and to wear masks. The family asks that guests dress casually.
