Cody Matthew Flynn

CHAPIN – Funeral services for Cody Matthew Flynn, 18, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 18, 2020 at Chapin Presbyterian Church. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, January 17, 2020 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, located at 123 Columbia Ave., Chapin, SC 29036.

Cody was born September 14, 2001 in Sumter, SC and passed away on Tuesday, January 14, 2020. He was the son of Matt and Windi Flynn.

Cody was a senior at Chapin High School. He started his football career with the Chapin Eagles in the 8th grade and continued to play during all four years of high school. He also competed on both the track and field and wrestling teams. Cody had a passion and appreciation for all genres and decades of music. He taught himself to play both acoustic and bass guitar. In keeping with Cody’s spirit, the family asks you to dress very casually for the visitation and funeral services. The more rock ‘n’ roll band and Chapin T-shirts the better.

In addition to his parents, Cody is survived by: sisters, Tristin and Savana Flynn; paternal grandparents, Dave and Gail Flynn; maternal grandparents, Jerry and Sharon Gallahar; aunts, Shannon Purdy (Joel), Sunshine Gallahar, Kristall Hanson (John); cousins, Shelby, Teagan, Laken, Paton, Cora, Connor, Bryce and great grandmother, Rita Gallahar.

Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Chapin Chapel, is assisting the family with arrangements.
