Bennie Lee Sease, 97, of Chapin, SC passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 25, 2024, at J. F. Hawkins Nursing Home. Born on June 07, 1926, in Prosperity, he was the son of the late Benjamin Irby Sease and Cora Lee Cook Sease. He was a World War II veteran who served in France and Germany.
He was a member of St. Peters (Piney Woods) Lutheran Church. He enjoyed gardening, sports (especially watching the Clemson Tigers play!) and sharing stories from his time serving his country.
Surviving are his sons, Randy (Lauren) Sease, Gregg (Michelle), Benji (Jodi); daughter, Peggy Sease (Dale Booth); grandchildren, Leigh Ann Fulmer, Alexander (Rebecca) Fain, Kaitlin (Clay) Comalander, Michael (Gabby) Sease, Benjamin Fain, Savannah (Thomas) Floyd, Dylan Sease, Gaines Sease and Kadence (Zachary) Blasio; great-grandchildren, Fran and Adleigh Fulmer, Colton and Parker Comalander, Nolan Sease and Emerson Fain.
He was predeceased by his wife, Retha Amick Sease; son, Terry Sease; brothers, Harold Moore Sease and John Oliver (Ollie) Sease.
The Sease family would like to extend special thanks to J. F. Hawkins Nursing Home, especially Lynn Taylor and Ronald Curry.
Funeral services will be conducted at St. Peter Lutheran Church by Rev. David Tholstrup on Monday, January 29th, 2024 at 11:00 AM. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM -10:45 AM in the church fellowship hall. A burial will follow in Newberry Memorial Gardens in Newberry, S.C.
Active pallbearers will be Michael Sease, Thomas Ford, Clay Comalander, Michael Snelgrove, Dylan Sease, Bernie Metts, Eddie Bundrick, David Orange and Harold Sease.
