Yvonne E Niekerk

Yvonne E. Niekerk passed away on July 26, 2018 in Chandler, Arizona surrounded by her family members. Yvonne is survived by her loving husband Harry Niekerk and her five children, and multiple grandchildren. Yvonne grew up in Cordell, Oklahoma and she loved life and lived it to the fullest. Yvonne loved to travel the world with friends and family. She would finish a grand cruise around the globe and shortly after returning home, she would be busy planning the next great adventure.

Yvonne was an exceptional ballroom dancer and she loved to teach others to dance. Yvonne taught dancing on cruise ships and she taught dancing in her retirement community in Chandler, AZ for many years. Yvonne loved to connect with people and bring people together to enjoy a good time dancing or playing cards. Despite being a great-grandmother, she was a wizard at technology and was the “go to person” for neighbors and friends struggling with their computer or mobile phone challenges. Yvonne touched many people’s lives and she will be greatly missed by her family and friends. We take comfort in knowing that Yvonne celebrated life to the fullest and she shared her enthusiasm for life with all of us.
