William Lloyd Wright

William Lloyd Wright, age 88, of Mesa, Arizona passed away on Sunday, January 1, 2023. He was born in Hookstown, Pennsylvania on October 6, 1934. He was married to Rose Catherine Mari on January 22, 1955 in Sioux City, Iowa.

William proudly served his country for 22 years as a member of the U.S. Air Force. He entered the Air Force on April 9, 1953 in Phoenix, Arizona, and received an Honorable Discharge on August 1, 1975 at Williams Air Force Base. He achieved the rank of E-6 and served during the Vietnam War. After his discharge from the military, William worked for another 12 years in Civil Service in the same engine shop at Williams Air Force Base in Arizona. His final retirement was in 1987. He had a passion for gardening, family, and dog racing.

William is survived by his loving wife, Rose C. Wright, his children Pamela Rowley and Charlie Wright, granddaughter Samantha McCracken, and siblings Eileen Bickle, Kay Pridemore, and Lee Plonkey. He is preceded in death by his grandson Riley McCracken.

A memorial service for William will be held Saturday, January 21, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Valley of the Sun Mortuary & Cemetery, 10940 East Chandler Heights Rd, Chandler, AZ 85248.
