William H. Pitzer II passed away suddenly at his home in Chandler, Arizona on October 5, 2018. Bill was born in Riverside, California on December 12, 1954. After traveling around with his family while his father was in the Air Force, his father retired in Chandler and Bill felt like a native Arizonan having lived in Chandler for 54 years.
Bill worked at Honeywell Aerospace in Quality as a Bearing Inspector and retired in 2014 after 30+ years.
He had many hobbies but his favorites were his trains and his love of all music in particular vinyl, especially the Beatles. We always knew we could gift him anything Beatle related for his birthday and Christmas and he’d be happy. This year it would have been “When I’m 64” by the Beatles.
He was a lover of animals and had a parrot, “Jerry Garcia” for over 30 years. Unfortunately we think “Jerry” passed on the same day as Bill.
He was a wonderful brother and being the only boy in a house with three sisters must have drove him crazy at times. He was so sweet and always giving to his family. He will be greatly missed.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, William Howard Pitzer and Norma Lucille Pitzer. He is survived by three sisters, Laura Maine, Brenda (Mike) Hemmer, and Cyndy (Laura) Pecic, five nieces and nephews, William (Lydia) Maine, Tonya (Andrew) Wanko, Jennifer Hemmer, Erica (Jeremy) Sapp, and James (Crystal) Pecic III.
A private service will be held on November 23, 2018.
