Wayne was born in Neptune, NJ to the late David and Faye Thompson. Originally from Farmingdale, NJ, he grew up in Wharton and as an adult moved to Arizona.
Mr. Thompson worked as a security guard, a policeman in the K9 unit, and a landscaper. He was owner of Earthentic Landscaping. In his retirement he served as maintenance manager for the Fincher Creek HOA. Wayne could be seen riding his scooter throughout the premises ensuring the facilities were clean and organized.
Wayne was an avid fisherman, hunter and four wheeler. It brought him much joy to cook for his friends and family. He enjoyed gardening as well as playing board games and cards.
Predeceased by his parents David and Faye (Caltagirone) Thompson.
Survived by the love of his life, Kelly May, sisters Wendy Caporaso and Judy Cooper, nieces Melissa Saenz (Tommy) and Katrina Bratteli (Derek), three great nephews: Riley, Cooper, Rafe and a great niece, Kemper.
