Wanda Mae Thompson

A funeral service celebrating the life of Wanda M. Thompson, 84, of Queen Creek, Arizona, will be held on Thursday April 4, 2019 at 10:00am at Valley of the Sun Mortuary and Cemetery with Pastor Dan M. Stottlemyer officiating. Grave-side service to follow.

Wanda was born in Columbus, Ohio on April 27, 1934 to the late Arthur E. and Mabel M. (Young) McMillen. Wanda went home to be with the Lord, peacefully, on Saturday March 30, 2019.

She was a devoted Christian who supported many church fellowships and was a member of Chandler Worship Center for many years. She enjoyed being with family, writing poems, traveling, and being quizzed daily by her grandson. Wanda truly emphasized the importance of quality family time, love, and togetherness. She loved everyone and will be missed by all.

Wanda was preceded in death by her husband, Albert R. Thompson, whom she married December 22, 1956, sister, Rheta Boyd and son, Brian D. Thompson. She is survived by three children; Bruce (Stacy) Thompson of Queen Creek, Arizona, Brenda (Terry) Rowlett of Gilbert, Arizona and Bradley Thompson (Sara Frahm) of Chandler, Arizona, two sisters; Dora Hurlburt and Janet Hill, Ohio, one grandson; Adam R. Thompson, one brother-in- law, and many nieces and nephews.
