Vy Hoan Tang passed away in the early morning of January 26, 2014 in Scottsdale, AZ due to complications related to cancer at the age of 57 years old. He died peacefully, surrounded by his extensive family. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Mai Trinh Chu Tang, and their four children, Tran Mendez and Vu, Victor and Trina Tang, and his son in law, Jorge. Vy is also survived by his mother, Van Le Quach, three younger sisters, three younger brothers, their spouses and eleven nieces and nephews. Services will be held at Greenwood Memory Lawn Cemetery where he will be cremated.
Vy was born on August 10, 1957 in Kien Giang, Vietnam to Thoai Ngoc Tang and Van Le Quach. He immigrated to the United States in 1978 and settled in Phoenix where he met his wife. Throughout his life, he was known as a compassionate and caring person who loved his family deeply. He took pride in being the best husband and father that he could be to his family. He loved animals, especially dogs, and his hobbies included playing music, collecting guns, and cooking.
