It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden death of Tom Schaefer on December 9, 2016.
Tom graduated from the United States Naval Academy (USNA) in Economics and received his Master’s in Mechanical Engineering from the Naval Post Graduate School. He proudly served his country for ten years before beginning a successful career with PepsiCo.
He loved life and lived it to the fullest. He was enthusiastic and excelled in every endeavor he attempted which included surfing, crew, golf, skiing, fishing, diving and hiking. He was an avid baseball and football fan.
Tom was humble and shy but once you got to know him he possessed a keen wit and intelligence. He loved his family and friends and personified unconditional love and friendship.
He was preceded in death by his mother Dorothy and Sister Karen. He is survived by his wife, Jen, children Danielle, Kaitlin, Ryan, Hannah, his father Al and Sister Jill and his beloved pets Yuki and Napster.
