She was born on June 12, 1932, the youngest of 7 children to Joseph and Stephanie (Bajorek) Brygider in Chicago, Illinois. Growing up in Chicago, she graduated from Lourdes High School. She moved to California after her graduation, and she had many adventures, working at one time for Jack Webb, worked for a radio station as an ad consultant, and then became a real estate broker. In the 1970’s, she moved to Colorado, continuing her real estate career, and in 1974 she met Ozzie Huber (who later passed away in a tragic accident). They later wed in 1976, and she became an instant mother of 2 wonderful children, John and Renée. She loved Colorado and was an avid skier, bicyclist, hiker, swimmer, basically any outdoor sport the state had to offer. She was so active into her later years; she won several medals in swimming during the Senior Olympics. She lived in Colorado until 2005. In 2006, she met Joseph (Joe) Pollitt, and they married later that year. A vibrant woman, she loved to cook, travel, seeing the arts, and listening to live music. In fact, her family loved her cooking so much they called her kitchen “Terry’s Café.” Terry was an adventurist and took Joe to the ocean for him to put his feet in the water for the first time in his life. She always liked to look her best and made her home very welcoming to visitors.
She is survived by her husband of ten wonderful years, Joseph Pollitt; son, John Huber; daughter, Renée Castillo and her husband Tony; nephews Paul Lopez, Phillip Lopez, John Lopez and David Baur.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 6, from 9 am until 10 am, followed immediately by funeral service at 11 am, held at Valley of the Sun Mortuary. A lunch reception will immediately follow the funeral service. Valley of the Sun Mortuary was entrusted with arrangements.
