Ruogang was born in January 26 to Yongjing Zhu, a famous Chinese graph theory mathematician, and Shufeng Ru, a great scholar in Beijing, China. He came to the U.S. on July 1995 to study for his math major at West Virginia University graduate school. He graduated with a master’s degree in math and computer science a year after his departure. His first job was as a software engineer at Lucent Technologies, and he continued his career path later on at Wells Fargo before he passed away.
In 1995, he married the love of his life, Ying Fan at Beijing, China. They spent 27 years together as they built their family. Ruogang and Ying welcomed their daughter Natalie in 2008 and their son Gavin in 2012.
Ruogang was a Godly man, loving husband, wonderful father, avid golfer, world traveler and a good friend.
He will be missed by family, friends.
