Today we mourn the loss of a Dam’Good man… and he would tell you so.
Roy N. Lopez, Born in Casa Grande, AZ in 1938.
Proud son, brother, father, grandfather Tio, Nino, Mentor and friend. Not to mention the pride that swelled his chest.. Marine!
I believe he would tell you his greatest loves and achievements would be having married his honey Elena and honorably raised his children and grandchildren.
Roy also known lovingly as Roque, Deddy, Pops, Tata, Tio, Compadre and many other things best not mentioned in mixed company. Lovingly!
Roy is survived by wife Elena, sister Sara, children, Delia, Angie, Sam and Angela. Grandchildren, Elena, Edward, Rian, Angelica, Mercedes, Dalhia and Zachari. Great grandchildren, Arturo, C.J, Cameron and Myla Rose and many nieces and nephews. He loved to no end. Also as he so ofter told me…
Loved by countless millions.
Roy was hard yet fair.
Strong yet tender.
Always willing to lend a hand when needed and would never turn his back on anyone in need.
He would scare you on purpose jokingly just to comfort you after.
Always strong, often misunderstood and a notorious cheek pincher!
Many, many times in my life I heard him say, God I love me!
Well DamGood man that went by many names, I do believe we all not only loved, but will forever love you.
May God welcome you home and rest in peace Marine!
