Robert Duncan Sinclair lost his six-year battle with Multiple Myeloma on June 2, 2018, weeks after celebrating his 70th birthday. He was surrounded by family at the time of his passing. Duncan was born April 18, 1948, in Plymouth, Ind., and raised in Nappanee, Ind. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Perry “Pat” Sinclair and Betty Mae Moody Sinclair.
Duncan is survived by his wife of 48 years, Patricia Ann Cook Sinclair, of Edina, Minn.; his sister, Deborah Sinclair, of Nappanee, Ind.; son Robert Duncan Sinclair Jr. and daughter-in-law Carrie, of Gilbert, Ariz.; daughter Melinda Leising and son-in-law Gary, of Clinton, N.Y.; daughter Kristin Bolden and son-in-law John, of Avon Lake, Ohio; and grandchildren, Corey and Brody Sinclair, Jude and Ewan Leising, JD and Joshua Bolden.
He studied Business Management at Purdue University, where he met his future bride on a blind date their sophomore year, and graduated with honors from the Krannert School of Business. He later earned his Master’s of Business Administration from George Washington University.
Duncan was a generous, kind, smart, and athletic man. He enjoyed golfing, biking, and playing softball with his longtime team, the Cruisers. Duncan loved traveling with his wife to beautiful destinations such as Hawaii, Alaska, and Europe, and spending time with his family – especially his six grandsons.
Duncan had a 40-year career in banking, culminating in a vice president role at Wells Fargo in Minneapolis, Minn. He was active in his parish and community, a dedicated blood donor, and served on the board for YMCA Camp Icaghowan in Amery, Wisc. For his efforts, he received the Volunteer of the Year Award from Wells Fargo.

Visitation will be 5-7 pm June 28 at Washburn-McReavy, 5000 W. 50th Street, Edina, Minn.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 am June 29 at the Church of St. Patrick of Edina, 6820 St. Patrick’s Lane, Edina, Minn. A visitation will be held prior to the service, starting at 10 am., with a lunch afterward.
