GILBERT, Robert Charles Perin passed away Saturday March 2, 2019 at the age of 90. He was born on December 6, 1928 in Corvallis, Oregon to Charles Archie and Lillian L. Perin. He survived by his wife Mary Jean Perin, Son's Steve Perin and Dave Perin. Step-daughters Sara Turner, Nancy Gage, Julie Holley, Lorraine Meadows and Bonnie Keenom. Step-sons, Ron Kepner, Greg Kepner and Darren Kepner and a sister, Bette Spray and many beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He loved sports, especially basketball, baseball, tennis and golf. He spent a brief time as a pitcher for the Cincinnati Reds until an injury ended his young career. He also played men's fast pitch softball as a pitcher until he was 62 yrs old. He was a Police Officer in Corvallis, Oregon for over 10 years. He moved to California and started working in the Title Insurance Business in which he retired from in 1992. He was an avid Stamp Collector from the age of 9 years old, he mowed lawns to buy stamps. He also, was a Member of the Elks for 61 years.
He retired again to Gilbert, Arizona in October, 2012. He enjoyed family and friends and never met a stranger and had a great sense of humor.
Services will be held on Wednesday March 13, 2019 at Valley of the Sun Mortuary
& Cemetery, 10940 E. Chandler Heights Rd. Chandler, Arizona, 85248. Memorial Services celebrating Robert's life will begin at 10:00 a.m. with graveside services burial to follow.
