Robert Paul Cunningham

He was born in Chicago, IL on April 25th, 1958. He graduated from Elk Grove High School, where he played on the basketball team.

Bob enjoyed a career in advertising, working for American Color. His career brought the family from Illinois to Utah in 1997, then to Arizona in 1999.

Bob had a passion and talent for playing guitar as well as writing songs and poetry. He played in multiple bands throughout his adulthood, including the White Saddle Band (IL), Spur of the Moment (IL), and Off the Record (AZ). His other hobbies included collecting baseball cards, reading, and watching sports.

Bob is preceded in death by his father, George Cunningham, his brother, Bill Cunningham, and his son, Kal Cunningham.

Bob is survived by his children, Kimi (Stephen) Shackelford and Cody Cunningham, his grandchildren, Dax Shackelford and Liam Shackelford, mother of his children, Cyndi Cunningham, his mother, JoAnn Cunningham (Frank Cianci), his brother, Jim (Dawn) Cunningham, and his aunt, Sheila Pientka.

Bob’s memorial service will take place on Friday, May 13th, 2022 at 9:00 a.m. at Valley of the Sun Mortuary & Cemetery in Chandler, AZ. This will be a graveside service. The joinable livestream link will be listed below.
