Robert (Bob) Frank Coe, 84, passed away April 15, 2013, at home in Chandler, AZ. Born July 5, 1928, to Hubert and Vera Coe in Garden City, MO., he went on to graduate from William Chrisman High School and Rockhurst College. Bob joined the Navy Reserves and then actively served the US Navy from 1951-1953.He met Mary Belle Schock at the beginning of his career with Sears. They married in 1951 and raised 2 children in Independence, MO. Bob retired from Sears as a Controller after 38 years. Bob was a member of the Kansas City Masonic East Gate Lodge No. 630.Bob and Mary Belle enjoyed their RV for many years, staying in Colorado and AZ. Bob was a noble hearted man with the rare strength of honest selflessness; it is what made him easy to love and now makes him greatly missed. His parents preceded him in death, along with 2 sisters, Veta O’Dell and Rosalie Coe. He is survived by his beloved wife Mary Belle, daughter Janet (Wayne) Hammond of Alvarado, TX, and son James (Kim) Coe of Chandler, AZ; 2 grandsons - Jason Hammond of Chicago, IL and Tim (Sarah) Hammond of Belton, TX; 3 granddaughters - Valerie Hammond of Nashville, TN, Elizabeth (Bill) Cadaret and Caren Coe of Chandler, AZ.; 5 great grandchildren; and nephew Robert Epperson of Independence, MO. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, May 7, 2013, with a visiting hour from 9:00-10:00 a.m. with services at 10:00 a.m. at Valley of the Sun Funeral Home, Chandler, AZ.
