Raymond Joseph Peterson

Raymond is survived by his wife Jean; daughters Mary Kay and Pam; sons Ray Jr. and John; grandchildren John, Joe, Angela, Stacy, Jason, Robert, Eric and Mike; Great-grandchildren, Ethan, Mason, Levi, Arianna, Kameron, and Kolton; and numerous nephews and nieces.

Raymond was preceded in death by his parents Elmer Walter Peterson and Susie Rossi Peterson; and his brothers Elmer, Russell, Eddie, Eugene, and Clarence.

Raymond was born to Elmer and Susie in Chicago, Illinois on October 9, 1935. Early on in his life he worked at Clark Oil and the Illinois toll road, while finishing his career of 25 years for local 786 out of Chicago. On June 10, 1955 he took Jean Kollmon as his wonderful wife. Together, they had four children, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Raymond enjoyed coaching baseball and football, helping family and friends, doing household projects, woodworking, working on cars, weekend trips, going to church, and supporting his family. He will be deeply missed by family, friends, and all who had a pleasure to know him.

A memorial service will be held Saturday June 30, 2018 at First Baptist Church of Sun Lakes at 10:30am.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Baptist Church of Sun Lakes for the camp and widows ministry of Daniel & Ramona Pincu.
