I am so shocked & sorry to hear of Phil’s passing. It seems like just yesterday I was enjoying his Facebook posts in which he shared a great song from our past. I looked forward to his posts. My deepest sympathy goes out to his friends & family. Heaven has gained a great person & is Rockin Around the Clock now!

Phil and I actually became closer well after our high school years through Facebook.   Loved his Throwback Thursday posts.  The world is better off from Phil’s time in his earthly home.  And I know I’ll meet up with him again in our heavenly home. 

I went to school with Phil...he was always friendly and loved sports.  I enjoyed the trivia he shared on facebook...My sympathies to his family and friends...Joni Lepow (Easley)

Phil had one of the kindest hearts and had such a thirst to share himself & his loves. We will meet again Phil, I expect you to greet me when I get there.

What a shock to learn of Phil's passing.  Paisan was a close friend going back to grade school.  To lose a friend like him is to lose part of ones self.  Phil was a gifted athlete and a great teammate.  He loved sports and had a wealth of sports trivia knowledge.  Sports trivia was a passion.  He enjoyed sending questions to radio broadcasters of minor league baseball games in the Cubs farm system.  Phil's main teams were our beloved Green Bay Packers, the Fighting Irish and the Cubs.  We forgive him about the Cubs.  :- )    As a friend, it is wonderful to know that Phil had a strong faith in Jesus as our Savior from sin, and that he is now enjoying the eternal splendor of heaven.  May the peace of God comfort your family in this time of loss, Paisan. 

I worked with Phil at Osan AB, South Korea. We both had a love of music and he knew pretty much every band/song of several decades. One of the best guys I’ve ever known. We would still share music and old memories on Facebook and I enjoyed all the old baseball photos he would share. The world is less without him. Godspeed old friend.

Phil and I served together many years ago and also bowled together in addition to our military service. He was a fine person and had a love of classic rock music he enjoyed sharing.  His passing came as a great surprise and I wish to extend my sincerest condolences to his family. 

I met Phil while working at Goodfellow Air Force Base, I was one of the Marines that were instructing alongside our Air Force brethren, Phil and I used to chat about music everyday, we were both from the same era and could talk for hours.  Not a nicer guy could you ever meet, professional and polite at all times, I learned a lot from Phil, and was proud to have served shoulder to shoulder with him, it was an honor and a privilege.  Semper Fidelis Brother, we will meet again in Valhalla.
