She was born in Sioux Falls, South Dakota on December 2, 1930. Her parents were Charley and Ruth (Olson) Nelson.
Naurine grew up in the area and graduated from High School in Sioux Falls. She was the youngest of 6 kids and the only girl. Her mother passed away at a young age and Naurine was raised not just by her dad but by her brothers.
In 1950, she married Kent Allen Snyder in Richmond, California. They had known each other since they were little kids. They had 4 kids, their sons Scott Allen, Craig Kent, Mitchell Lee and one daughter, Carreen Carol.
Kent passed away in 2004, after 55 years of marriage.
Naurine was the oldest living person of her generation in her family.
She is survived by her sons Scott (Susan), Craig (Christina), Mitchell (Penny), her daughter Carreen (Tim) as well as 9 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
Naurine was also a long-time member of Desert Cross Lutheran Church in Tempe, Arizona.
Services are being handled by Valley of the Sun Mortuary.
