MJ Hill of Chandler, Arizona and former longtime resident of Ahwatukee passed away peacefully on April 12, 2024. MJ was born on December 13, 1955, in Joliet, IL, to the late Charles and Gretchen Hill. She was 68 years old.
MJ was a visionary entrepreneur who started and successfully built two thriving businesses in the Phoenix area. Her leadership and dedication inspired many and left a lasting impact on her community. She was deeply committed to her work and cherished the relationships she built along the way.
A passionate sports enthusiast, MJ was an original season ticket holder of the Phoenix Mercury WNBA team, demonstrating her unwavering support for women’s sports. She was also an avid softball player for many years, finding joy and camaraderie on the field with friends and teammates.
MJ’s took great pride in her family and cherished every moment she spent with them. She is survived by her son, John Hill, and daughter-in-law Adelle Hill of Phoenix, Arizona, her brother Dan Hill and sister-in-law Adrienne Hill of Lisle, Illinois, and five grandchildren, Xoë, Thomys, Aizik, Emersyn, and Saul.
In addition to her professional and athletic pursuits, MJ loved playing golf and socializing with her many dear friends. She was the life of every gathering she ever attended and was known for her infectious laughter, and zest for life.
MJ Hill will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her legacy of hard work, determination, and competitiveness will continue to inspire those whose lives she touched.
We will be Celebrating MJ’s Life on Friday, April 19, 2024, from 1:00 until 5:00 PM at the Valley of the Sun Mortuary and Cemetery located at 10940 E. Chandler Heights Rd., Chandler, AZ 85248.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to the Alzheimer’s Association in memory of MJ Hill.
