Born on Christmas Eve in 1963, Mike brought light and laughter into the world from the very beginning. He spent over three decades as a dedicated store manager and later served a year in human resources, always bringing integrity, commitment, and warmth to his work. But beyond his professional life, Mike’s greatest and proudest accomplishment was his role as a family man.
He is survived by his loving wife, Brenda Workman, and a devoted family who will carry on his memory: his mother, Freeda Workman; his brothers, James Workman, Gregory Workman (his twin), and Timothy Workman. Mike was a proud father to Elizabeth Patrick, Amanda Woodcox, Stefani Workman, Stacy Reedy, Scott Bavousett, as well as a proud uncle to many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father Jim Workman and sister Tamara Workman.
His legacy continues through his grandchildren: Nikolas Reedy, Alexander Reedy, Annie Young, Maddy Young, Sophia Woodcox, Skyler Bavousett, Delilah Holquin, Alena-Jo Davis, Dexter Woodcox, Teagan Young, and Liam Patrick.
Mike had a dry, clever sense of humor that could fill a room with laughter. His legendary pranks kept everyone on their toes and created unforgettable moments. Whether he was cracking a joke or offering a helping hand, he brought comfort and joy to those lucky enough to know him.
Mike loved attending various sporting events and often planned his vacation spots and itinerary around baseball games.
He was our steady guide, our reason to laugh, and our greatest supporter. He leaves behind a family that loves him deeply and a lifetime of cherished memories.
He will be missed more than words can express, but his spirit lives on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
A funeral service for Mike will be held Tuesday, April 29, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Valley of the Sun Mortuary and Cemetery, 10940 East Chandler Heights Rd, Chandler, Arizona 85248. A place of rest will occur at Valley of the Sun Cemetery, Chandler, Arizona.
