I knew Mike only a short time, a few years through tennis at Trilogy. I enjoyed Mike’s rumor and knew him as a very nice guy. I got a kick about his mini-outburst of frustration with himself over a hit that didn’t go as planned, or like it would have likely gone in hIs younger days. Mike would often be the first to reply to my 2 Court Challenge announcements, it was obvious he was very passionate the game of tennis. Our sincere condolences to Mike’s  family and those who were part of his life. May he Rest In Peace.

He was a daily regular in our Round Robin tennis group.  We had been awaiting his recovery and return to the courts, not knowing how very sick he was.  He will be missed.

I am so sorry to hear about Mike's passing. Even though we divorced in 2011, after 10 years of marriage, I still have fond memories of Mike.  He took good care of me and was a good husband, but we just had problems communicating.  Mike was a good man and I know his daughter Carrie will miss him so much.  Mike was a wonderful father to Carrie, and  grandfather to Rick   and Carrie's kids and loved them more than ever! He also was so happy that his granddaughter made him a great grandpa a few months before he died.  Mike and I went on several vacations together, including going to Ireland and Hilton Head with his brother Daryl  and his wife Lori. He loved this brother so very much!  We spent many weekends going up to Daryl's property with a lake on it!  Those were some of the best times we had together! We had a lovely home in Pleasanton and Mike let me decorate it anyway I wanted, since I was a custom decorator.  He talked a lot about Ken and Steph and they also meant the world to him.   Mike and I talked for the last time, a couple days before Thanksgiving, when he said they were taking him off chemo because he was too weak.  I tried to call him several times since then,  but he never returned my calls.  I didn't have Carrie's number so I had no way of contacting her.  Well, again, I am so sorry about Mike's passing , but I know he is now at peace.   My heart goes out to Carrie and Rick, but also to Ken and Steph at this time.
