Mary Pollitt

Mary Pollitt passed away Thursday, July 31, 2014 at the age of 86. Mary was born in Gary, Indiana in 1928. She moved to Chandler, Arizona with her loving husband Norm in 1986. Mary was preceded in death by her husband in 1993, her parents Aurel and Mary Gavrila and her sister Helen Boblo. She is survived by her children Larry (Jennifer) Pollitt, Dawn Norfleet and Steve Pollitt, brother John (Mary) Gavrila, 5 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, along with several cherished nieces, nephews and cousins. A celebration of Mary's life will be held on Monday August 4th at 3 PM at Dayspring United Methodist Church at 1365 E. Elliot Rd., Tempe AZ. Mary will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband at Valley of the Sun Cemetery in Chandler, AZ. Mary was a devoted wife & mother and friend to all who knew her. Her infectious smile and loving ways were inspirational to all. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in her name to Hospice of the Valley, 1982 E Woodside Ct, Gilbert, AZ, 85297.
