Dear family of Mr. Gulino,
I'll miss seeing Mr. Gulino at Savanna House. 
My eyes weren't the only ones that were tear-filled upon hearing the sad news...
I always enjoyed being the server for his table, as
he was always pleasant-&-kind to us at Savanna.
I especially loved how he'd tease me as I'd wait
on his table.

I will always carry wonderful memories of your father. He had the kindest heart and always made me feel welcome whenever I came to visit.  He loved to cook and always insisted that i stayed to eat with them...
 but most importantly...I will never forget how much he loved my auntie Lucia and took such good care of her.

When Sal and I reunited in 2010 we were stunned to discover that Zio was next door neighbors to my brother!! It was a grand and funny surprise. We ended up having dinner there one evening. When he was about to serve us coffee and dessert, he started to reach for these specific glass cups. Sal insisted that he not go out of his way to “fancy” things up for us. A hurt look came over his face and he said “No!! You are family and we’ll use these”.

A few years ago a friend shared with me what I thought was a beautiful thought and also a very truthful concept. He said, “we only really die when the people who knew us forget about us.” I know that everyone who had the fortune to have known you will never forget you! You will be missed dearly, Zio Mario. ❤️

Dear Maria, 
   My condolences go out to you and your family. Your father is truly someone special. He has given me good memories. He has shared pictures and stories that I try to gather. He is very positive and brought joy to others. 
Passing through the hallways as he tried to hide or cover his face. He has a special place in my heart. I wish you guys the best of wishes and blessings out to your loved ones.

Over the past year, I had the privilege of getting to know Mario. I'd often walk by him in passing and he'd through his hands up and give me a huge smile and I would come back at him with "ciao Mario!". This gentleman was one of a kind and had the most positive outlook with whatever came his way and could always cheer someone up with one of his smiles. He will be greatly missed and my only wish for him is to rest peacefully.
