We  just heard today about Kevin's death from another cousin, Danny Waite.  We are terribly shocked and saddened  to hear this news.  It was wonderful to read the messages from all the people who have known Kevin and his family over the years. While we have not seen him often over his adult life, we have great memories of visiting Kevin and his brothers and sisters when we were all younger.  We feel like we were able to see how his life has been as a wonderful adult.  So sorry it came to an end in this way.  Our hearts are broken. It was a true gift to know and work with Kevin. Admired how he truly listened, inspired mutual trust and respect.  Kevin led by example in encouraging collaborative discussions and creative solutions. Within his short time in this life, Kevin made a tremendous impact on so many lives. To Kevin's family - thank you for sharing him with us and hoping that happy memories of Kevin continue to bring comfort.

I had the pleasure of working with Kevin for many years and I will never forget all of the good times we had working on projects, talking about careers, talking about our families and friends. He was truly a great person and friend to all.

Uncle Kevin set a very high bar for cool. His laugh, his smile, and his goofy nature will live on in my fondest memories. He left a wonderful legacy of love and zeal for life that his family will continue to perfect in his absence. Uncle Kevin will be missed.

Kevin was not only my manager at PayPal but my mentor,my friend and much like a fun uncle that I always wanted to have. Kevin was a people person, he possessed an amazing ability to cultivate people, to bring the best out of them. His pleasant demeanor, soft yet commanding voice mixed with his remarkable ability to motivate people was never gone unnoticed. Everyone at work was touched by him, one way or the other. He holds a very special place in my heart and will continue to do so forever. My heart goes out to Kevin's family and friends.

I am a first cousin of Kevin. I have wonderful memories of growing up in Tama-Toledo with Kevin and his brothers and sisters. The family get togethers at the grandparents or parks were wonderful. I remember Kevin's mellow nature and smile. I am saddened at the loss.

Kevin was a source of calm for me during my visits to Chandler.  His inner peace, his love of life, and his open heart, all contributed to his very special nature.  I was privileged to be invited into his home and meet his family, and I know through his love for them, his legacy will live on.  To his family and friends, I grieve with you.  I am so sorry for your loss.

I worked with Kevin at Inter-tel for several years. A better friend one could not have, he brought joy to everyone he came in touch with. Kevin would go out of his way to help anyone. When visiting Chandler Sherri and Kevin would always invite me over to enjoy time with there family. It was a home away from home for me.  Our thoughts are with all of Kevin's love ones.

With great sadness, I learned of Kevin's passing. He was a great guy in high school, and from the testimonies posted here, he continued to be a great guy. The photos and video show the true joy, happiness, and love that was evident in his life with friend, family, and life in general. May God grant the family serenity and peace, knowing that they will see Kevin one day.

I had the honor of knowing and working with Kevin in the last five years. He was a man of calming and healing. He set examples in so many ways in life and reminded me of how to be a better person. He will always be an inspiration to me.

It was a beautiful celebration of Kevin's life this morning - he was truly an amazing man that will be missed by many! We donated to FMSC to feed a child for a year - yet another child saved by Kevin!  Your family is in our thoughts and prayers!

I worked with Kevin when I was at PayPal and he was always so pleasant to work with.  He always had a smile and kind words to say to everyone. May God bless his family and friends during this time of sorrow.

What can you say about someone who was your best friend for over 20 years. Who went to grade school with you...high school....college...and beyond. Who accepted you as you were...the good, the bad, the ugly. Who stood by your side, time and time again. Who made you a better person, simply by knowing him. Whose family felt like your family.

What can you say about the best man you ever knew. Someone who was kind, generous, friendly, caring, and respectful of everyone he met. Whose intelligence was exceeded only by his generosity. Who never thought poorly or spoke ill of people. Who knew only friends, not enemies.

What can you say to his wife..his children..his family....except I share your sorrow. My heart goes out to you and if you ever need anything, you need only ask. Your husband/father/brother was truly one in a million and he will be remembered and missed by many.

What can you say...except... I'm glad you were a part of my life...I'll miss you and never forget you...I loved you. The times we shared, the things we did, the experiences we had...they are forever a part of me, inextricably embedded inside me, until the day I see you again.

I knew Kevin as my boss for the last couple of years and he was one of the best bosses I ever had. He was a great guy, a good listener, down-to-earth and very easy to talk to. He was also a good mentor. This is extremely unfortunate that he left us so soon. We all loved him and will miss him dearly. Sherri--I was privileged to spend some time with you, Kevin and your family in 2011, when you invited me along with LeAnn, Mike, Maddie and Katie.  I'll never forget your and Kevin's warm welcome and generous hospitality.  My life is enriched by knowing such loving people as yourselves, and my love surrounds you now.

I am very saddened to hear of your loss.  My thoughts and prayers go out to Sherri and the rest of her family.  Although I never met Kevin, I had the pleasure of getting to know Sherri during my time of being the Chandler YMCA Sports Director.  My wife and I will be sending positive thoughts to the entire Waite Family.

Kevin was simply great! There aren't even enough descriptive words that I could find to describe what a wonderful person I thought he was and how much he impacted my life in the past 5years of knowing him. 
Extremely saddened that the world, his precious family and friends and the people who had yet to meet him will no longer have him in our lives. 
He calmed me down on a daily basis while running projects with him. He was my ‘Zen' during projects, always answering my calls, talked me off the ledge and reminded me that there is some much more in life then the trivial issues we have here at work. I knew working with him he would provide me honest feedback, and ear if I needed it and he would be there for me no matter where my life/career took me. I know that no words can comfort in this time of loss. Although Kevin was thought highly of by the people he worked with, he made us laugh, brought sanity and calmness to often intense conversations and you just knew he was there for the right reasons. He set a bar for PD Managers that I've yet had others reach at PayPal and eBay. He was a great co-worker and friend. He lit up when he talked about his wife and kids and everyone could see the deep love he had for all of them. He was extremely proud of his kids and wife and he was the first to tell you how lucky he was. Kevin was just a caring, funny, loving person who reminded me that you work to live and never live to work. 
Thank you for sharing him with all of us and he will be deeply missed.

My prayers go to Kevin and his family. We attended Iowa State University and I have many fond memories of those days. Rest in Peace.

I knew Kevin for a long time, though never very closely.  I know he was always an easy person to talk to, never knew him to have harsh words for anyone.  I always meant to get to know him better, but now that will never happen.  I wish the best for his family.

Kevin was very close to me for the last 5 years at PayPal. I have interacted with him daily for 8+ hrs. I miss him a lot. He is a wonderful person and I cannot imagine another person so nice like him. He was perfect in all ways. I pray god for his family. He will live in our memories forever, everyday.

Kevin my dear brother, my bud....my life will never be the same with out you. You helped make Arizona home for me. Kevin and his family have been a close part of my life since he and his wonderful wife Sherri came to Arizona. My heart aches for Sherri and the children (which I have been there as they have grown up in this world) Adyson, Cooper, and Hanna who are the best kids an Uncle could ever want. Kevin will always be in my heart and Sherri and the kids will continue to be a part of my life. Kevin was one of the greatest people that I've had the honor of working with and knowing. Kevin was a fantastic person and great to be around. We would always joke about minor things in life. Kevin will truly be missed and I believe it a is a rarity to come across someone who was just universally loved like Kevin. I'm proud to have known and worked with Kevin during my nearly 5 years at PayPal. If it wasn't for him, I don't think we would be as successful as we are today.

I had the pleasure of working with Kevin on several projects at PayPal. He was great to work with - always pleasant, calm and helpful. I looked forward to running into him while I was in Scottsdale. As busy as he was, he always made time to visit and was always smiling.  I offer my deepest sympathies to his family and friends.

Kevin is my husband's uncle.  Uncle Kevin was one of the kindest, most caring and generous men I have ever met!  He actually reminds me a lot of my husband!  I'll never forget the last time we visited them about a year ago... Kevin gave us his Mercedes to drive for the weekend!!  And he took a full day off of work just to spend time with us, go out to lunch, etc.  My heart breaks for Sherri, Addy, Cooper, and Hannah, as they have lost one heck of a husband and father.  But I'm so grateful that Kevin knew Jesus, and in fact is with him right now! :-)  We LOVE the Waites dearly.  They are such a neat, genuine, fun family!

I have had the pleasure of seeing Kevin's wife coach through the YMCA and his children participate for years.  Although I didn't know Kevin as wells as Sherri, I know that your impact in their lives will be dearly missed.  My thoughts and prayers are with you and your loved ones.
