Fond memories of a lovely lady whom we admired.  Condolences to all the family.

I met June when I started playing pool at our community center in 2014.  I was immediately drawn to her because she was so lively and sure of herself.  We soon became good friends. enjoying lunch, movies and even a few plays together over the years.  I even got her interested in playing the card game Hand and Foot which is my last memory with her.  It was about three months ago now and she was feeling well enough that day to join us.  What fun she was to watch when she was dealt a good hand and was winning.   Her cockiness and joy of the game is a treasured memory now.
One funny story I will share is when she left her car running while we were both in the movie theater.  When we came back to the car, she was shocked that she did such a thing and I told her I would never tell a soul and I would take it to the grave, but it was just too good a story for June not to share and share she did!   My feeble excuse for not realizing, as her passenger, that the car was still running, was I was most likely talking and never doubted for a minute that June had it all covered because she usually did.  
I miss you June . You enriched my life with your wit, your caring ways and just being a partner in our many fun times.  

I would like to express my deepest sympathy to the family of June.  I am Loretta Nyssen’s older sister Lydia . She was a classy lady. I always admired her style .  Although , I didn’t get to see her often , I will always remember  sharing Christmas Eve with her at Dave and Lorettas house.   June was such fun when we played the family Christmas gift game.  She always shared a loaf of her famous zucchini bread and it was so delicious.   💕💕

Knowing June was a Joy and an inspiration!  How do I know June?  David Nyssen is our Brother in-law,  married to my sister Loretta.  I have to say I'm so happy our paths crossed in this life June.  You were the most fun spirited lady and I will never forget our moments and many celebrations together over the years.  The lively conversations, your wit and humor, your style and grace, and your boundless energy.    Thank you for all these memories.  You will be missed!  May you rest in peace. To my dear cousins David and Paul and all of the LaCerte family,

I am so sorry for the lost of your mother June.  She was a beautiful woman with so much love and enthusiasm for life.    I know her presence will be deeply missed and you will always carry great memories of her in your hearts forever.  I remember her when I was a very young girl camping, and the thanksgivings and events at the childhood home with David and Paul.  I have a fond memory of her when I was about 6 years old.  Grandma dropped me off to play with David and Paul, the fog was really bad that night and grandma could not come back to get me.   I was scared and June decided to make popcorn to cheer me up.  When the popcorn started to pop she took the top off the kettle and popcorn flew everywhere, I started to laugh and loved her for this lovely act of kindness.  It is funny how such a simple act can still bring a smile to my face over 50 years later.  Although I will not be there with you today, I love you all and wish you  peace in this difficult time. The Best Mother-In -Law ever. 
"Having June as my Mother in law was Amazing"! Before David and I married June and Armand came to visit where I lived in San Luis Obispo, Ca. We were enjoying getting to know  each other and while we were walking around downtown San Luis Obispo, we decided to go into the ice cream store “Cold Stone Creamery”, where they would give samples and June politely asked me if I would you like to try her flavor, so I said sure and she handed me a small pink spoon with some ice cream and I ate it, then I noticed a whole bunch of pink spoons in a small tub, I said June where did you get that spoon and she pointed to the small tub- I went oh my gosh those are used Spoons!!!! At that point I was wondering if she really liked me or not!!!! She was mortified and we laughed about the pink spoon for many years!! David and I married, and I became her daughter in law, I have been blessed to have June in my life and my family’s life for 26 wonderful years. She was courageous, sincere, strong, funny, my favorite Sous Chef at the holidays and a continual inspiration in my life. She will be forever missed and remain in my heart all the days ahead. Always enjoyed June's life perspective.  Playing cards together, sharing book club comments and enjoying her great food. 
She lived life to the fullest.
