Judy was born on November 1, 1940 in Pittsfield Massachusetts, to the late George Raymond Hinckley and Eldys May Vanderbeek. In her younger years the family lived in Hinsdale and later moved to Pittsfield. After graduating from Pittsfield High School she went to work at GE Ordnance Systems. She was very proud of her thirty five year career at Ordnance and valued the many life-long friendships made there. Energetic and outgoing, she often worked a second job as a bartender all while raising her three sons. At different times she applied her acumen and organizational skills as chairwoman of the GE Quarter Century Club and president of the Mogul Masters Ski Club. She retired in Chandler, continuing an active life with local family and all the new friends she met there.
Judy lived life to the fullest and was always a joy to be around. She enjoyed putting on dinners and parties, skiing, biking, walking, going to the gym, traveling, cruises and perhaps most of all shopping with friends and family. She was a dearly beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She was preceded in death by sister Joan Putnam and survived by husband Kerry Wallace; sisters Jane Carpenter and Paula Deforest; sons John, Jerry and Saul "Jimmy" Almeida; and their families.
Judy will remain in the loving memory of her family and friends forever.
Arrangements are under the direction of Valley of the Sun Mortuary in Chandler, Arizona.
