Fletcher, Johhnie Carol was born 11/12/1933 in Vernon, TX and passed away in Chandler, AZ on 12/28/2016. He was born to John and Alice Fletcher and is survived by his two brothers, Jerry Doyle Fletcher and James Charles Fletcher. Johnnie was married to Anne Lenahan Fletcher for 50 years until her passing on January 21, 2006. He was preceded in death by his children, John, Denise and Paul Fletcher. He is survived by his children, Carol, Edward, Daniel, Renee and Jennifer. Johnnie has 32 grandchildren, 48 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. He was a veteran of the Air Force for 21 years serving as a correspondent in Vietnam and Korea. He was a journalist for the Arizona Republic and also a published author. Johnnie was also an avid golfer. A funeral service will be held at Valley of the Sun Mortuary located at 10940 E. Chandler Heights Road, Chandler, AZ on January 7, 2017 at 1:00 p.m., followed by a private committal at Valley of the Sun Cemetery.
