John Leo Meloch

John L. Meloch, 84, passed away on May 18, 2016. He is survived by his wife Francita (nee Harrington), father of Francita Peeper, grandfather of Reagan Marie and Riley Quinn Peeper; dear brother of Howard (Kathy) and the late Richard (Janet), and Betty Jane Gauthier, and many nieces and nephews. He was born in Chicago and joined the Air Force in 1951 and served to 1955. He graduated from De Paul University in 1960 and married Cita. He began his career in finance with John & Johnson and the became finance officer and retired from Richard D. Irwin. After his retirement, John volunteered with the Sun Lakes Posse for eight years. In his younger years, he loved to play handball and racquet ball. His hobbies were reading and of course, golf, was an ardent fan of the Chicago Cubs, Blackhawks, Bulls and Da Bears. He was so loved for his generosity, kindness and caring for others. He will be missed. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Cystic Fibrosis, or to St. Jude's Hospital for Children.
