Today is Jesse's birthday and as such I want to remember him for the wonderful gift he gave us of the time we had with him in life. The day my children were born, was the most precious gift ever.

When the chill of winter makes us snuggle into a homemade afghan or quilt..

When, for better or worse, one year ends and a new year begins..

Jesse touched our lives in so many ways. When we remember him with a smile, Jesse lives on through us.

I have such fond memories of Jesse as I badgered him to share his life story with me. I finally was privileged to hear at least some of it and I am honored to have been a very small part of his journey. Love to all of the family and friends who cared so deeply for him.

Jesse, as Christmas past I missed you. every morning as I go to my truck I look at the superstitions and remember you looking down on me. Thank you for the blessing you gave me of being my friend and son. never forgetting to give me a hug and I love you when you left.  Thank you for the gifts of friends and family. love you jesse.

You went too soon, its just not fair. You're not supposed to be gone, you're supposed to be right here.There's so much more, you were supposed to take us to do. There's just so much that won't be the same without you. We miss you more than words can say and we think about you everyday. We're mad as hell and it hurts so bad. Chuck, U don't know me although I attennded OPA, I thnk I must have missed u by a yr or 2. U may know my cousins though... Pam Johnson; John, Jack, & Jean Jackson? I don't think Uncle Walt was teaching @ OPA yet but I could be mistaken. At any rate, non of that matters much except to tell u who I am. I Really HATE to hear this kind of news!  I lost my husband almost 2 yrs ago & I know all to well that horrable heavyness that settles down on your chest & makes it hard to breath. The tears that come @ unexpectedl, & Really inconvenient, times! I'm sure  know how that feels. Although we are fellow Oak Parkites I don't really know u or your wife, your daughter, & I've never had the plasure of knewing Jesse. But my heart achs for u guys & the tears are making it hard to see what I'm trying to type. We r all family in Christ, & as such I greave with u! U folks will be on my mind & in my prayer! I will especially be asking the Lord to Bless u all with His "Peace that passes all understanding", His strength & wisdom, & the wiillingness to greave together as God has provided for us to do, growing closer together as we do so & moving forward together towards His soon Return!!! There will never be another Jesse.  I know your hearts are breaking. I Praise God he will soon come with a shout to wake all those who love Him! No more chemo, no more sickness or pain. I can't even imagine that type of freedom.

I never got to meet Jesse, you will have to introduce him when we get there.  Until then, You are in my thoughts and prayers as you deal with your pain.

Psalm 56:8 in the New Living Translation describes God this way, "You keep track of all my sorrows. You have collected all my tears in Your bottle. You have recorded each one in Your book."
