Jane Alice Farkas

It is with great sadness that the family of Jane Alice (nee Haberman) Farkas, 75, announces her passing after a brief illness. She is survived by her loving husband, Frank J Farkas and her adoring children, Laura and Brian (Wendy) Farkas; her sister Nancy (Bill) Gacioch; brother-in-law Dennis (Cathy) Farkas, sister-in-law Patricia Farkas; many nieces and nephews and she is a Great Aunt to many as well. She is preceded by her sister Marilyn (Paul) Braun; and her parents Chester and Edith Haberman. Jane was born in Buffalo, NY and lived there for many years. She was currently residing in Sun Lakes, AZ where she had an active social life with many friends. She was a volunteer at Chandler Regional Hospital. Jane enjoyed travel and they often went on cruises with family and friends. Jane attended St James Grammar and graduated from Buffalo Academy of the Sacred Heart. She also earned an associates in Business Administration from Bryant Stratton Business Institute. Jane worked for National Property Management Associates Inc. in Orchard Park, NY as Property & Office Manager, retiring after 17 years. In 1965 she married the love of her life, Frank and they raised two loving children. Jane was the backbone of the family, always there whenever anything was needed. Her vivacious personality and love for life was evident in everything she did. Jane had a great sense of humor and could light up a room with her smile. There will be a Celebration of her Life at the IronOaks Oakwood Country Club in Sun Lakes on Sunday, October 15th, at 3 pm.
