

Jacqueline Louise Hochhalter, age 86, of Chandler, AZ, formally of St. Paul, MN, made her transition into Heaven on March 5, 2016. Jackie was born March 3,1930 to George and Mildred Wiesen of St. Paul, MN. She spent some of her early years in Chicago, IL and St. Louis, MO before returning to St. Paul. Jacqueline was an only child. She worked in Accounting and Securities at First National Bank of St. Paul until she met and married the love of her life, George Hochhalter on September 30, 1949. Two years later their first of 5 daughters, Kristen Lee was born followed by Robin Annette four years later. That same year she was diagnosed with Polio. Though confined to a wheelchair Jacqueline went on to have three more daughters Kandice Denise, April Renee, and Tracy Alynn.
Jackie was a strong, devoted, loving wife, mother, grandmother, mother-in-law, aunt, and friend. She is survived by George, her husband of 66 years; daughters, Kristen Segelstrom and Don Segelstrom of Woodbury, MN; Robin Arvin and her husband Larry of Chandler, AZ; Kandice Hochhalter of Mesa, AZ; April Mansel and Mike Mansel of Woodbury, MN; Tracy O'Connor and her husband Brian of Tulsa, OK. She also leaves behind 12 grandchildren: Todd, Tyler, and Chanel Segelstrom; Reed and Blaire Arvin; Ryan Hochhalter; Scarlet Lopez; George and Blake Mansel; Jackie Post; Alex and Austin O'Connor as well as nine great grandchildren; Mia, Jaxon, Ethan, Rylee, Nylee, Sophia, Eli, Jersey, and Mason. Jacqueline is preceded in death by parents, George and Mildred Wiesen, her Aunt Louise (Tootsie) and Uncle Chester Quaile.
Jackie enjoyed attending Bible Study, playing cards, reading, solitaire on her iPad, and a challenging crossword puzzle. She was a parishioner of Sun Valley Community Church of Tempe, AZ formally known as Bethany Community Church. She will be sorely missed by each family member though forever in our hearts as well as the lives of those she touched with her strength, courage and heart full of love.
The family is grateful for the loving care provided by Dr. Jordi Livi and his staff, Beth of Southland Home Health and the team at Homewatch Caregivers of Tempe.
