Fred J Wulf

Frederick J Wulf, 86 of Chandler, AZ passed away at his home on July 21st surrounded by his family, leaving this world and finding rest in the arms of his savior Jesus. Born on November 20th 1931, in Chicago, IL Fred was one of six children born to Frederick Wulf and Helen (nee Rode) Wulf. After graduating high school, he served in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean conflict in various positions across the United States. He was incredibly proud of this service and in his later years would scarcely go anywhere without his Marine Corps baseball hat. After his service, he went on to run a successful restaurant in the Chicagoland area and later worked in sales for several companies including Del Monte and Sunnyside Corporation. Fred was known by those who loved him for his generosity and quick wit. A story teller, he loved sharing moments that formed the colorful tapestry that was his life. He loved listening to the music of Frank Sinatra. An avid gardener, he carefully watered and tended to his citrus trees and rose bushes, fighting a valiant battle against the desert heat and sun. In the heat of the day, he would keep up on the latest news and watch the Cubs play baseball. Fred is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 61 years Nyla (nee Kasten); three children, Su (Dan) Barry of Mesa, AZ, Laurie (Ned) Lenhart of Snellville, GA, and Chris (Sandra) of Algonquin, IL; one brother, Alan Wulf of Huntley, IL, seven beloved grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Fred is proceeded in his death by his brother Ron Wulf, Sisters Kathleen Nixon, Marion Brownson, and Lynn Hintz. There will be no services. A private family committal will take place in Chicago at a later date.
