He was born November 1, 1944, to Jose Castro Marquez and Francis (Lopez) Marquez. A loving husband of 56 years to Rebecca Becky (Escandon) Marquez. A beloved father to Dean Frank “Dino” (Josie) Marquez. A loving grandfather to Dean “DJ”, Zachary (Jamie), and Gabriel Marquez. Frank also raised two nieces, Lorraine (Bryan) Webster and Anna (Daniel) Munoz. Welcoming 6 additional grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Frank is survived by his sisters Barbara (Joe) Moreno, Teresa and Martha Marquez and brothers Jesse and David Marquez. He is preceded in death by his parents Jose and Francis Marquez and brothers Joe, Raymond and Danny Marquez.
Frank served three years in the United States Army as a sharpshooter where he was stationed in Germany and later being honorably discharged. He returned home to marry the love of his life Rebecca, his “Mujer”. They were obsessed with each other, married for fifty-six years, welcoming their son Dean Frank, and their love was as strong as it was from the day they married, and EVERYONE knew it.
In his early years Frank was a Harley Davidson enthusiast, riding it around town was something he took pride in. Frank worked for Coca Cola and after 27 years he retired. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, having BBQ’s, playing horseshoes, and playing his piano.
He was a man of very few words, but he had a heart of Gold. He will be deeply missed by all who loved and knew him.
A celebration of life memorial service for Frank will be held Thursday, April 25, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Valley of the Sun Mortuary and Cemetery, 10940 E Chandler Heights Road, Chandler, Arizona 85248.
