We cannot believe that "our" Dr. Jamison was overcome by the dreadful disease that she rose above everyday with patience and resilience.  She was a colleague to both of us but above all a genuine friend and inspiration.    Our thoughts and prayers are with Steve, also our a friend.

I am saddened by the loss of my colleague, Dr. Debra Jamison.  I felt a deep connection to her through the patients we shared, over the past 20 years, and the conversations we have about our mutual experiences as women in medicine.  Her high standards raised the bar for everyone she interacted with across the medical community.  This is a profound loss for her family, friends, the medical community, but most especially for the patients she served.  Dr. Jamison will be fondly remembered and greatly missed.

Deb. J and I became fast friends in high school. I admired her ferocity in competition as we furiously played word games daily. We shared a passion for our St. Louis Cardinals and could talk about sports for hours. I also admired her drive and conviction toward her goals and I am proud to know her.  She is not gone, she is with my parents in heaven who are still deep in my heart, as is she. Rest well, Debra Annette. It is well deserved.  Love always, RKJUJA 78

Dr. Jamison was an amazing physician to work with. I remember talking to her the night my daughter was first diagnosed with her chronic illness. She never treated the aides like they weren't important! I learned so much from her, I will NEVER forget her and always miss her.

My condolences and prayers to Debra and her family during this time of great loss. Debra was my classmate at Rosati-Kain High School in St. Louis, MO. We were part of the Class of 1978. Debra was an amazing person. I remember how bright and vibrant she was. Throughout our high school years, she knew she wanted to be an MD and was all about it. When we were all finding ourselves, Debra was already there; on her path to greatness as a physician.  In true RK tradition, Debra kept her humility in the forefront; recognizing her gifts were God given and beyond excited to share them with the world. She was an inspiration to me always. At our reunion, she spoke of being an MD so unassumingly we almost missed what she said. "A DOCTOR! WOW" we exclaimed. We were both proud of her as she was one of us and yet in awe of her magnitude of influence on the world. Always sweet, kind, and one of us giggly girls, I am certain she brought the formation of our RK education to all creatures great and small. 

Our deepest sympathy to Steve who was so blessed to have Debra in his life.  She was a beautiful person who brought much joy to many.   Rest in Peace Debra.

Dr. J. Set the standard on how all Dr.s should be. She diagnosed my sister with liver disease about 3 years ago when she was admitted to Banner Ironwood Medical Center. Everytime I saw Dr.J. after my sis went home, ( I work at BIMC) she always asked about her and how she was doing. The day she asked and I started crying, she knew my sister was gone, she cried with me,she listened, and comforted me. I can not say enough good about her, because she is the most exceptional Dr. I think I will ever know. I will miss you bunches Dr. J.             Cheryl T.

My deepest sympathy for your loss.  Dr. Jamison cared for my father when he first moved to Arizona.  She was such a caring physician she spoiled us for the care we would find when she changed to a hospitalist.   She will be missed.  God be with you.

Debra was an amazing woman. I had the pleasure of spending time with her in my hometown of New York. The fist thing that touched my heart was her smile..Such a kind hearted giving person.  My fondest memory was when we all crammed in my car New York  style to ride back to the hotel after a day of dinner and shopping... We laughed so much! Sleep peacefully Debra you have left a mark on my heart that will shine for eternity. I am blessed to have been able to have met you.

I'm still reeling from the shock of knowing that you are gone. Every birthday we talk and gossip about our friends and who's doing what and who's changed over the years. We have known each other since first day of kindergarten.  We've studied together, laughed together and gotten silly together.  I'm going to miss you terribly. Your pain is gone and you are always beautiful. I love you. 

 Dr Jamison will forever live in my heart. I can honestly say she was absolutely a great doctor, she saved my life back in 2007.  I also had the pleasure working with you and you were a credit to your profession. You will forever live in my heart. RIP Debra...

However I know that WE WILL meet again ....until then...Always on my mind and deeply planted in my heart.

Dr. Jamison was truly an amazing person and an exceptional Doctor. She always made me laugh with her feistiness and sense of humor! It was an honor to work with such a strong and compassionate woman.  I miss her dearly and will continue to pray for her and her family and friends.

I can honestly say, I respected you and enjoyed working with you beyond measure. You touched so many lives and exemplified the true meaning of your profession. I always looked forward to seeing you. Heaven definitely gained a bright star.

I am still wrapping my mind around all of this. Each day I'm trying to push through because you would have wanted me to. I have no idea who's going to support me and fuss at me at the same time. No one believed in me and allowed me to be me, like you. You were everything to our family, and I see you might have been everything to others as well. I don't know how my heart will mend, but I am praying constantly for understanding in all of this. Thank you for being Dr. DEBRA JAMISON, but also being an awesome example and cousin.

Dr Jamison was one of a kind! She was always a mentor and a friend. She advocated for the patients and for the nursing staff. DJ you are going to be missed so much! Until we meet again, travel well, we will take it from here.

Debra was an incredibly strong woman! She was an amazing physician and friend! I am blessed to have known her and will truly miss her!
