Brenda L. Walker, age 72, formally of Hamilton Ohio, passed away at her home in Chandler, Arizona on July 23, 2011 after battling ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease) for 6 years. Brenda was born January 10, 1939 in Hamilton, Ohio. She married her loving husband W. Duane Walker on January 21, 1984 in Trenton, Ohio. Brenda retired from her office management position at Cisle Construction in 2000. Brenda and her husband moved to Arizona after retirement to be closer to their children. Brenda's faith in the Lord and love for Jesus Christ, kept her strong during her illness. Brenda is survived by her husband Duane; 2 daughters, Kimberly Williams (Weaver) and her husband Brent Williams of Phoenix, Arizona and Amy Walker (Weaver) and her husband Tim Walker of Chandler, Arizona; 2 grandchildren, Emma Williams and Will Walker; 1 brother James (Butch) Lakes of Hamilton, Ohio and an aunt, Joy Spivey of Clearwater, Florida as well as other family and friends. Brenda was preceded in death by her parents James (Jim) and Emma (Fordie) Lakes and 2 sisters, Karren S. Boling and Judy R. Nabors. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, July 26, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at Valley of the Sun Mausoleum, Chandler, Arizona with Pastor Bob Blayter officiating. A gathering with family and friends will follow the services at Brenda's home.
