Audine Evans, 91, of Sun Lakes, AZ, passed away on October 29, 2023. She was born Audine Ipsen on May 19, 1932, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Majorie Stella Toland and Kenneth Adelbert Ipsen. Audine was the beloved wife of the late William Ross Evans and the loving mother of Linda Adele Evans Anderson, Gilbert Dell Evans and Susan Margene Evans Dagley.
Audine will be remembered for her personable nature, friendly demeanor, and her infectious smile. She had a positive outlook on life that touched the hearts of those around her. Family memories with Audine include trips to the cabin and fishing on Grand Lake, as well as vacations in Arizona visiting Golfland miniature golf and water park.
Audine had a successful career, starting at a clothing store in Craig, Colorado, and eventually opening a Sears catalog store, which she managed for many years. She also supported the family farm.
She received her education from Rifle Union High School and obtained a diploma in x-ray technique from St. Mary's Hospital in Grand Junction, Colorado.
Audine had a passion for traveling and explored destinations such as Hawaii, South Korea, Belize, England, and enjoyed many cruises with her cruising friends. Playing cards with her close group of friends was a great pleasure for her. She was also an incredibly creative individual who loved sewing.
Audine is survived by her daughter Linda Evans Anderson, grandchildren Katie Brakefield, Daniel Preller, Adria Stanek, Brena Powell, Adam Evans, and Timberli Evans, as well as great-grandchildren Charlie Brakefield, Cyrus Brakefield, Tabitha Brakefield, Garland Preller, Poppy Preller, Ava Oakley, Ben Oakley, Trinity Powell, Trevon Powell, and Kennedy Ross Evans. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Gilbert Dell Evans, daughter Susan Margene Evans Dagley, and granddaughter Sarah Dawn Preller Oakley.
The family invites friends and loved ones to join them in celebrating her life at the Oakwood Country Club, 24218 S. Oakwood Blvd, Sun lakes, AZ 85248, on Tuesday, November 7th from 11-1. Lunch will be served.
