Arthur Raymond Oliver Jr.

Arthur R. Oliver, Jr. age 63, passed away suddenly on May 29, 2019, in Chandler, (Phoenix) Arizona. Born August 4, 1955 in St. Louis, Missouri to the late Arthur Sr. and Doris Oliver. Beloved husband of the late Pamela Maloney Oliver; dearest and proud father of Arthur Patrick, Daniel George, and Thomas Christopher Oliver. Loving brother and brother-in- law of Debbie (Fred) Koenen, Linda (Joe) Mastroianni, and Vicki (Kevin) Conrad, and the late Michael (survived by Carmen) Maloney; dear uncle of Jennifer Whalen (fiancée Robbie Brown), Lauren (Sean) Williams, Elizabeth (Jeffrey) Schafers, Joseph (fiancée Kristen Mandlman) and Jaclyn Mastroianni, Peter (Chelsea), Tyler and David Conrad, Tim Maloney and Meghan Maloney Hawk; son-in-law of the late George and Jacquelin Maloney; dear nephew of Richard and Mary Ann Hoffman, and the late Clem and Betty Hoffman. Our dear great-uncle, godfather, cousin, and friend to many.

Art, a resident of both St. Louis, Missouri and Chandler, Arizona left us unexpectedly, and way too soon, at his home in Chandler. He was a 1973 graduate of Christian Brothers College High School (St. Louis), Regis University (Denver), and received an MBA from Washington University (St. Louis). Art enjoyed a successful business career owning several businesses, most recently, Warrior Building Products in St. Louis from where he recently retired. Art lived his life to the fullest, enjoying time with his sons, playing golf, and dancing, where he earned the nickname “Twinkle Toes”.

Affectionately known as Paul Bunyon to some, Art was a great storyteller, never met a stranger and had a smile and laugh that warmed many hearts. Generous to a fault, he had a heart of gold. Whether you knew him as Art, Artie, Whalebone, or Big Daddy, he will be greatly missed by many.
