Andrew H. Wilds

Born into life on July 31, 1930 in Detroit, Michigan to Harvey Bernard and Esther Minor Wilds; born into eternal life on June 18, 2012 in Mesa, Arizona. He was the loving and devoted husband of Lois Marie Bailey Wilds. Andy was a graduate of Catholic Central High School, followed by the University of Detroit, where he earned a degree of Bachelor of Arts in English. He retired from 30 years of service to R.L. Polk & Co., publishers and made his home in the Phoenix area. A member of the Knights of Columbus, he was active in his Catholic church. Andy enjoyed sports, had a wonderful wit and greatly relished all things literary. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Joseph, Harvey, Jr. and Thomas, his beloved daughter Theresa and granddaughter Nicole. Among those who honor and celebrate his memory are his wife Lois, his sons Michael (wife Debra), Patrick, Kevin (wife Monica) and Daniel (wife Ann), his brother Robert (wife Bette), grandchildren Melissa, Angela, Patrick II and Danielle. –They that hope in the Lord will renew their strength, they will soar as with eagles’ wings; they will run and not grow weary, walk and not grow faint. A Rosary Service will be held, Friday, June 29, 2012 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Stevens Catholic Church in Sun Lakes, AZ. with a Memorial Service to follow at 10:00 a.m. Andrews final resting place will be at Valley of the Sun Cemetery, with whom arrangements have been entrusted to, www.valleyofthesunfunerlahome.com.
