Andrew Leo Munoz was born on April 27, 1971 in Mesa Arizona, to Dr. Leo and Lupe Munoz. Andrew attended elementary through middle school at Mt. Carmel in Tempe, where he went on to Marcos de Niza for his high school years. There at his beloved alma mater, Andrew met and built many relationships that would last the rest of his life including and most notably, the love of his life, Michelle. Throughout this time, his home in The Lakes and the communities surrounding Marcos became hallowed ground for countless memories that live on today. He forged his education onward taking business classes at Arizona State University. The high school sweethearts went on to start a family including two sons, Alec and Aaron. After eleven years of love they sealed their long overdue union on January 29th, 2000 with a majestic wedding ceremony and reception that many hold as a dear memory today. With both immediate families residing in Tempe and the surrounding areas, many strong ties kept Andrew’s heart attached to the city and people that made the East Valley home. Andrew worked in Logistics at United Parcel Service, where he contributed at the Tempe Facility before transitioning to the Air Parcel Services at Sky Harbor International Airport in Phoenix. From here his count of loved ones continued to grow, as he added more eternal friendships in the field. The family pushed out into the south east valley, residing in Gilbert for some years until eventually building a home in Chandler where he would go on to spend the rest of his days. This became the mecca for Andrew’s love and family life. With every year Andy made the family home more and more of a place of refuge for all those who needed laughter, spirit, comfort, or just a good time. Andy was blessed further with two grandchildren, Marley and Maddox, to which he adored and loved dearly. In later years, he moved on to the field of Behavioral Health, where he found passion in helping his fellow human beings in Maricopa and Pinal Counties. Warm affection would be an understatement for the adornment he had for music, the great outdoors, cinema, sports (especially football, GO BENGALS! GO CARDS! GO DEVILS!) and most of all his family. All that knew Andy encountered the inescapable feelings of joy and happiness that he always brought to any moment. As a person that always had others as priority to himself, we know that he looks down on us now, still contemplating and enacting how he can watch over the lives of the family and friends he had to leave behind. This passing has come at such an unexpected time in Andrew’s young life and we now look on to celebrate the life he lived and the impressions he made. He was survived by his wife Michelle, sons Alec and Aaron, grandchildren Marley and Maddox, sisters Monique Pena, Yvette Brudnock, and Nicole Booth, goddaughter Candice Cline, seven nieces and nephews, two great nieces, and parents Dr. Leo and Lupe Munoz.
