Aimee Dahlgren was born on August 8, 1967 in North Platte, Nebraska to Robert and Geraldine (Petrow) Dahlgren. She grew up on an acreage outside of North Platte, NE and graduated from North Platte High School in 1985. After graduation she attended Kearney State College, Kearney, Nebraska and graduated with a degree in Business Administration in 1989. Aimee was adventurous and moved to Phoenix, Arizona shortly after graduation to begin her career. Her quest for success took her to cities such as Chicago, IL and Minneapolis, MN, but Arizona was always home to Aimee. Her business sense and approachable nature made her a natural in the business world and she held positions with several companies in employee relations, human resources, and recruiting. For the past 24 years, Aimee was employed as Human Resources Business Advisor with JPMorgan Chase. She is described as a caring colleague whose greatest achievements were the relationships that she built over the years. A great friend and passionate advocate for all employees. Aimee will also be remembered for her infectious laugh and smile.
She loved getting together with others and was hostess to many girlfriend get-togethers that centered around wine and laughter. Her family was so important to her and she orchestrated a cousins get together in Florida in June 2023 that her family will always cherish. Aimee enjoyed traveling with friends and family, spending time with her dogs, hiking and running including numerous marathons.
Aimee was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2014 and fought a courageous battle into remission. Aimee passed away at home on October 25, 2023 after a final battle with a recurrence of cancer with her family and friends, along with her beloved dogs, Jackson and Woodford (Ford), by her side.
Survivors include her brother and sister-in-law, Russell and Dixie Dahlgren of North Platte, NE, nieces Megan Dahlgren and Makenzie Dahlgren, Phoenix, AZ, Uncle Gordon Dahlgren and his wife, Connie, Scottsdale, AZ, Aunt Bonnie Petrow, Indianapolis, IN, her loving cousins, her beloved companions Jackson and Ford and her many friends and colleagues including her group of girlfriends who were like sisters to her. She is preceded in death by her parents, Bob and Jeri, her grandparents, Joel and Rosetta Dahlgren and Constantine (James) and Amelia Petrow, Aunt and Uncle Stan and Joan Dahlgren, Aunt Inez Dahlgren, Uncle Jim Petrow, and her much-loved dog, Jasper.
A Celebration of Life for Aimee will be held Monday, October 30, 2023 at 10:30 AM at Gethsemane Church, 1035 E Guadalupe Rd, Tempe, AZ. In lieu of flowers, donations are appreciated to The Emily Burkert Rocha (’15) Memorial Scholarship or a Breast Cancer Foundation of your choice.
