William Joseph Villavaso, Jr. (“Bill Murphy”), age 75, left this life peacefully on June 20, 2018 in Slidell. He is survived by his wife, Renee (Merrant); his children, Sean and Christina (Robert Bigelow); 8 grandchildren; and his beloved dogs (4) and cat (1). He was predeceased by his parents, Cecile L. and Lamont T. Murphy (Skinny). No one rescued more animals than him and he loved every one of them. He loved life and people and he lived fully. Anyone that ever met “Mr. Bill” left with great memories of at least one of his stories. Now, he's telling them in heaven. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the ASPCA or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
A Celebration of Life will be held for Billy at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, June 26, 2018, at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. VIRUTE ST, in Chalmette. A gathering of family and friends will be take place after the service. He will be laid to rest in a private ceremony.
