Stephanie Virginia Perret

Stephanie Virginia Perret passed away peacefully on Friday, October 15, 2021 at the age of 30. She was the beloved daughter of Rebecca Lystra and David Perret. Sister of Daniel Taylor, Jacob Lystra and James Lystra. Niece of Sheree Perret Serpas (Billy). Granddaughter of Sandra Perret Gervais and the late Wanda Reinecke and Gerald Perret. Great granddaughter of Elma Pope Rabalais, Emmett Burtchaell, Doris Burtchaell and the late Edward David Pope. She is also survived and fondly remembered by many cousins, relatives, family and dear friends.

Stephanie was born in New Orleans and was a longtime resident of St. Bernard Parish. Although Stephanie’s illness made her appear frail, she possessed strength, perseverance, and an ability to overcome incredible odds and physical challenges. With her courage she led us to believe that each day is a blessing and an opportunity to create lasting memories. She was well loved and will be deeply missed by her family and by all those whose lives she touched.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial service to be held at DELACROIX HOPE BAPTIST CHURCH, 1934 Bayou Rd., St. Bernard, LA on Saturday, October 30th beginning at 10:00AM. She will laid to eternal rest in St. Bernard Catholic Cemetery.
