Rosemary Yvonne Schackai Brown passed away on Thursday, March 5, 2015 at the age of 93. She was the cherished wife of the late Raymond John Brown. Loving mother of Rosemary Merwin, Raymond Brown and Robert Brown. Daughter of the late John and Adel Barbier Schackai. Sister of Lillian Messenger, Gabriel Aymami, Thelma Illging, Adel Illgs and John Schackai. Proud grandmother of Susan, Timothy, Patricia, Richard, Brent, Brandi, Christopher, Victoria, and Rebecca. She is also survived and fondly remembered by her 18 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. She was well loved and will be deeply missed by her family and by all those whose lives she touched. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Wednesday, March 11th from 11:00 A.M. – 1:00 P.M. followed by a celebration of her life beginning at 1:00 P.M. She will be laid to rest in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens.
