Ronnie Martin Campo, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully at the age of 81. He leaves behind a legacy of warmth, laughter, and endless adventure. Ronnie was the beloved husband to Kay Campo. Proud father to Marion Campo Gaudet (Myron), Barbette Campo Richard (Michael), Shawn Campo Neumeyer (Rodney) and Clifford Barrios (Gwen); grandfather to 9 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. He was survived by his sister Betty Fahm. Ronnie is preceded in death by his parents, Martin Campo and Josephine Alfonso Campo; his grandson, Cody Fahm; his siblings, Peggy Alphonso, Pasty Nunez, Carol Kennedy, Curtis Campo, Alvin Campo and Ricky Campo.
Born in New Orleans, LA in 1942, Ronnie was a true son of the sea. As a commercial fisherman, he navigated the waters with skill and passion, casting his nets far and wide. The ocean was his second home, where he found solace and purpose. But Ronnie was more than just a fisherman; he was a master craftsman. With rough hands and a gentle touch, he sculpted wonders from wood, creating heirlooms that will be treasured for generations to come. A free spirit at heart, he found joy in the simple pleasures of life. Ronnie could be found in his beloved RV, exploring the great outdoors with his beautiful wife by his side. Camping under the stars, sharing stories around the campfire, he cherished these moments of connection and camaraderie. A true jack of all trades, he approached every challenge with enthusiasm and determination. Rest in peace, dear Ronnie. Your legacy will forever inspire us to live life to the fullest and cherish every moment we are given.
