Robert Emmett McGovern, Jr.

Robert Emmett McGovern Jr. passed away on Sunday, February 21, 2016 at the age of 60. He was the cherished husband of Cindy Arena for 33 years. Loving father of Shawn Massey (Josh). Proud grandfather of Noah Massey. Son of the late Robert E. McGovern Sr. and Julia Long McGovern. Son-in-law of the late Harold L. Arena Jr. and Mary F. Arena. Brother of John McGovern (Chantell) and the late Linda Seguin. Uncle of Tammy Culotta (Vincent Jr.) and Jimmy Seguin (Joy). Great uncle of Corey Lotz (Kaitlyn), Scott Gulino, Brandon Lotz, Errolyn Manino, Precious Seguin, Jamie “Bubba” Seguin and Vincent Culotta III. Also survived by his furever friends Mosa, Charlie, Beethoven, Inga, Deliha and Buster.

Robert was a resident of St. Bernard Parish and enjoyed playing golf. He was a devoted family man and will be forever remembered as a loving husband, great father and grandfather. Robert will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Thursday, February 25, 2016 from 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM and on Friday, February 26, 2016 from 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM. A Funeral Mass will begin at 1:00 PM. He will be laid to rest in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens.
