Phil Anthony Barre' was born September 15, 1948, and passed away September 25, 2024. Phil was married to and shared 37 years with his beloved wife, Linda Fleury Barre'. Phil was born to the late Evelyn LeSassier Haynes and the late Stanley Barre'. He was reared by his mother and father the late Donald C Haynes Sr. He leaves to cherish his memories his children Phil Barre' Jr and his wife Georgina, Inga Barre', Patrick Barre', Phillip Barre' and his wife Erica, Brandi Fleury Barre', Christopher Phil Barre' and his wife Shanne, and Lindsi Alexi Barre'. His grandchildren, Tatiana Barre' Solhjoo and her husband Ryan, Gabriela Barre', Ryan Williams, Raymond Williams, Brinae' Barre' Roberson and her husband LeDarryl, Ilana Barre', Elaia Barre', Phillip Barre', Jr., Lillian Barre', Kya Cheri-Ann Barre', Kayden Christopher Barre', London Ann Barre', Logan Alexis Barre', and Beaux Christopher Barre'. His great granddaughter, Omni Roberson.
Phil reunites with his daughter, Peidra Ann Barre' in Heavenly Peace. Phil's siblings, Stanley Barre, Jr., (Deceased) and his wife Elma Barre', Conrad Barre' Sr., Joan Barre', Donald Haynes, Jr., and his wife Renee', Greg Barre', Rosemari Barre- Hemmingway and her husband Ed, Dewey Barre, Theda Barre' Baron and her husband Carl, and Lisa Barre. Phil also leaves to cherish his memories his mother and father-in-law, Merlin L Fleury and Hilda A Fleury. His sister-in-law, Cindy Fleury Chenier and brother-in-law Merlin L Fleury, II, (deceased). Special love to his cousin Paul Le'Sassier and his wife Kym, and Melvin Williams and Bridget A Fleury.
Phil attended Corpus Christi Elementary school and graduated from Clark High School in 1968. He was an all-around amazing athlete receiving many scholarships offers for baseball, basketball, and especially, his love, football. Phil started his career delivering for Coca Cola then started his journey as a law enforcement officer along with working for Crescent City Consulting. He worked for the New Orleans Police Department before retiring after 33 years of service. Following His retirement from the NOPD, Phil worked for the New Orleans Sheriff's Department retiring after 14 years of service.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial gathering to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Friday, October 11, 2024 from 11:00 AM-1:00 PM. A memorial service will begin at 1:00 PM.
