Peter Charles Bertucci Jr.

Peter Charles Bertucci, Jr. passed away on Monday, March 21, 2022, at the age of 71. He was married to Rose Romano Bertucci for almost 50 years. He leaves behind his son, Peter Bertucci III, and his grandson, Stayge Bertucci; his siblings, Sandra Reuther, Judy Willet (Darrell), Diane Fitzgerald (Phil), Glenn Bertucci and Karen Laurent, and Jack Romano (Diane). His many nieces and nephews adored him and his wit. He will be sadly missed by Michelle Williams, Eric Schloegel, Ben and David Williams, Joseph Reuther (Brandy), Amy Schloegel (Dana), Jessica Mackles, Lee Laurent, and Shannon Vinet. He was preceded in death by his sons, the late Michael, John, and Bryan; by his parents, the late Leatrice Moinet Bertucci and Peter Bertucci, Sr.; and by his sister, the late Ann Vinet.

Peter served his country in the Army and was a Life Member of the VFW of Arnaudville Post 5153. He was also a member of the Packenham AARP 3926 and the St. Bernard Council on Aging.

Peter loved his Friday date nights with Rose, his casino trips, and reminiscing of his many hunting and fishing trips with his brother, Glenn, and brothers-in-law, David and Lee.

His pride and joy was his son, Peter, who works for Folger’s Coffee, and his grandson, who attends Chalmette High School, and participates in football and baseball.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Monday, March 28, 2022, at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. VIRTUE STREET, in Chalmette, from 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM. A funeral service will be held in his memory at 11:00 AM. He will be laid to rest with military honors in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens.
