Patricia Ann Fanning (MeMe) passed away on Friday, March 27, 2020, at the age of 72. She was the loving mother of Robert John, Michael Thomas, and the late David Patrick Fanning. Devoted and proud grandmother of Jonathan R. Fanning (Harley). She is also survived by her siblings, Leisa Smith (Steve), Michele Bertucci (Cliff), and Carlo Sampere (Loredana). She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 44 years, Robert Thomas Fanning, III; by her mother, the late Catherine Sampere; her father the late Buster Sampere and by her brother, the late William Conway. Survived by a host of nieces and nephews, Patricia loved to garden and volunteered her time at Chalmette High School with the Performance Art Theatre and the Band. She also volunteered her time in the Oyster Booth at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.
A funeral ceremony will be held in Patricia's memory at St. Bernard Memorial Funeral Home. She will be laid to eternal rest in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens.
